Greenback, Tennessee

Just For Fun Activities

When the Vice President threatened to quit because the Greenback Historical Society wasn't fun, we worried. Then we went about rectifying the situation. After all, we live in an area with an abundance of historic sites and activities.

Therefore we have put together an activity list that we encourage all members to attend. Please read through and put these events on your calendar.  These events promise to be fun!  We also hope this will stimulate membership.  Invite your friends and neighbors to come with you!

Our first event is Saturday, December 2 and close to home. Join us at 5:45 PM at the Fort Loudoun Park for a Candlelight Tour of the fort. Look for each other in the Visitor Center. The actual tour starts at 6PM.

Then Monday, December 4, it is a trip to Knoxville's historic Tennessee Theater to hear the mighty Wurlitzer and area Madrigal Singers and Show Choirs!

Attached is a Schedule of Events through March. For more information, call Colleen Ragain at 865-740-5429. Also, a page on the GHS website will be created in the near future.

If anyone is in need of transportation, please call Cindy, Brenda, or Colleen and we'll work something out.
